Object : Can't upload
Is there a place to set the upload feature?
I can't upload anything but sometimes I can upload to the photo/ into my profile in the doceboCore but that's it. I said sometimes because it'll work once, quit working again, and then it'll magically work again. I tried uploading files in the LMS portion  (.doc, .pdf, .txt, .xls, .jpg, .gif) and it doesn't work. Besides the upload problem everything works great.  I am running PHP 5.0.4 and MySQL 4.1.14 - standard.

Thanks!

Hello, you can have lot of kind of problems:
  • Directory file permission are set only to a certain directory
  • File size is limited, on your server, to a certain size
Perform this check

I'm also having trouble uploading pictures to a profile. I see no errors in any logs on the server. When I try, I get "error saving."

Can someone tell me where, relative to root of site, that these photos would be saved?  I've also check  all the permissions and found nothing wrong.  I haven't tried uploading anything but a photo in profile.

Picutres are stored in:

files/doceboCore/photo/

Try to upload something else, so you can see if it is a single photo module or a general photo upload

I've tried other photos. I also deleted and reloaded the site. I still cannot upload and no error log entries. I've look at the setting in php.ini but could find nothing to explain this anomaly. I do have Zend installed. Could that be a reason?

****Update****
I discovered a slash in the config.php and when I removed it I am now able to upload files to courses but still cannot upload images. I still get "Error in saving".

Try to check:
  • if you have a directory called files/doceboCore/photo
  • If you have a directory called files/common/users
And if you have 777 permission on them

The only path change I did was to put the whole system in a sur-dirctory of the root (http:www.mysite.com/learning/*put it here*).

MMmm this is my same problem...but, with local installation (win+easyphp).

Do you have particular configurations for your PHP server (php.ini... particular port redirection)?
PS
the problem does not exist with installation on linux server (php 4)

No, this is on a Linux system. what bothers me is that there is absolutely no log entries anywhere about it. Just the error on the web page and no image. It's like some ignore error qualifier is set some php instruction. I've  looked but so far haven't found one. It's a complete mystery to me.

First, I'm not using FTP at this time (I've also tried it) so I don't think that path matters.

It's a server, Linux. PHP version is 4.3.11/  with Zend Extension Manager ver. 1.0.8 and Zend Optimizer version 2.5.10

Apache 2.0.53

'localhost" is proper in that context.
