Object : Docebo and CourseLab - SCORM issues

Hi all!

We recognize that some people started using our free CourseLab authoring tool to create SCORM-compatible e-learning content for using with Docebo LMS. The first feedback we have from our (and Docebo) user is that there is problem with LMSGetValue (if I get it right - it is this Docebo's listed bug?). We want to make our product to work hassle-free with all SCORM-compatible LMS, and certainly - with Docebo.

If you're using CourseLab with Docebo and having any compatibility hassles - please post it here (or feel free to send an e-mail to support@courselab.com). Your feedback is welcome!

Thank you in advance!

Hello.

First I would like to say that I appreciate the program you have developed, and I am glad that I found it.  Installation and getting things going were tough (mostly due to my lack of familiarity with the programs used), but I got everything working.  I am using the Courselab software, and I need help.  I created a course module, configured the settings, published to scorm 1.2 and uploaded to my LMS server.  The problem is, when I access the course, the slides are not there.  I have tried publishing in different modes (ie scorm 2004, etc) but nothing works.  I appreciate your input.

Terry

Okay, so my question is this;  Is Courselab 2.3 compatible with Docebo?  If not what should I use.  If so, then how do it get it to work.

Thanks.

Okay, I went there unfortunately it didn't answer my question.  I have uploaded the test packages and such, but there is no content displayed when you open the course document.  Please see what I mean by going to www.frtrainingsolutions.com/docebo/index.php .

There is supposed to be slides that are part of the course content.

I would appreciate if you could suggest reasons why the content is not being displayed.

Thanks,

Terry

Hi Claudio
As I remember both CourseLab and Exelearning had problem with docebo . Did you really debug their scorm problems completely for Docebo LMS ?

Terry , Do you upload your package correctly without any error . Did you set your folder and files permission correctly as described in manual ?

Yes.  I have no error when uploading the files.  I uploaded the same file to my server using the Moodle LMS platform, and it works fine.  I would rather use Docebo if possible, but so far I have had no luck.  I followed all directions and no luck.

The sample uploaded correctly, but I am unable to view it.  It only shows the framework. Do you know why?  I would greatly appreciate the help.

Your settings are adjusted well , just turn safe_mode and magic_quotes_gpc to On status .
I found that you are not able to see any scorm package and it`s not restricted to
CourseLab scorm package because I was made myCL2.zip package with another application .
Your problem is unusual . I suggest upload scorm,scorm5 and storage folder in doceboLms\modules
again and for assurance download a fresh copy of docebo3.5.0.3 from this website download
page to do it (please don`t forget to remove old folders first) .

Thank you for all your help, however I still cannot get the scorm packages to work.  I am frustrated and lack the technical know how to understand some of the instructions in the manuals and the forum.  Sometimes it is hard to understand the advice given here, because you all are very knowledgeable about the system, and unfortunately I am not.  I will give up trying, and just work with what I can.

Okay, I changed webhosts and I got your package to work Omid.  However, the courselab course gives the following error upon launching: Malformed input scoload.  What now?  Can you tell me which software you are using to create a course with?  Since it seems to work.  Thanks.

Omid thank you for all your help.  After several hours of toiling, I have got a system that is up ad running.  I am using the EXE learning, unfortunately it is not as nice as Courselab, but t works.  I do have one question: Why can't I get the certificate to issue to "only users who have finished the course".  It will not issue the certificates even though the course is complete.

Anyways,  Thank you again.  I think this platform is great.

Hi all, I had the same problem that Terry Mass. I have Docebo 3.5.0.4 and CourseLab 2.4. I generated the Scorm package in all versions and I can't see nothing. It's a bug with the versions?

I will change to exelearning but this thread is for CourseLab. I also saw the sample in demo.docebo.org but it was created with CourseLab 2.3 Something wrong with the new version? Thanks in advance.
